I remember by keeping the vitamin bottles near where I'm going to be eating... since I take them with food, it reminds me.

I used to take a multi-vitamin, vitamin C, and occasionally a couple other things if I was having specific problems that could be linked to a lack of this or that. Nowadays, I rarely even take a multi-vitamin although it's definitely something I'd like to get back to eventually.

Maybe I would be doing that. I just don’t know if that would also work for me. People are not the same.

Nope, they're sure not! It works for me because I know where I sit to eat my meals and I know that when I sit there for dinner, I'll see my vitamin container. If I see it and don't remember, then I'd probably have a worse problem than remembering to take a vitamin.

One of my daughter's vitamins has been making her nauseated after taking them, too. I think it might be the chewable C, but I'm not sure.

When I need it, I use Valerian. It has strong calming properties; in fact it's called "nature's Valium". It's good to take if you can't sleep. St John's wort has about the same properties, but is not as strong. You can take those for a few days if you like.
Especially with the Valerian, try one and see what you think. For myself, they are quite strong.
We use echinacea if we've been exposed to a cold or the flu as a preventative. You don't want to take echinacea all the time, just when needed.

I used those for a while a number of years ago. I don't remember it helping
too much but I might be wrong about that. What I *do* remember is the
horrid smell. Have they been able to do anything to mask that?

I don't think I've ever noticed a horrible smell from Valerian. Perhaps the bottle you bought was out of date, or otherwise adulterated?
Speaking of horrible, I heard that melatonin (also for sleep) is distilled from horse urine? Sounds outlandish, but you never know....

I've not heard that... but it's enough to make sure I never buy the stuff. I know that it seems to be quite popular but never heard what was in it.
